Activision has released a preview video for Black Ops’ upcoming Annihilation map pack. Annihilation contains 4 new muliplayer maps: Hanger 18, Hazard, Drive-in and Silo, as well as a new Zombies map called Shangri-La. The third Black Ops map pack will be available on Xbox 360 in under two weeks on June 28th and will be accompanied by a double XP weekend that will start on July 1st.
Until then you can take a behind the scenes look at Annihilation from the developers, Treyarch.

Hanger 18 takes place in Area 51 and is packed with conspiracy-theory Easter Eggs. There's a nice mix of close quarter spots and strategic sniper spots.
Silo is based on a Russian underground nuclear missile construction site. It is also, the devs say, the biggest map in the game.
Drive-In Is meant to be another Nuketown-esque map. It's very small, but still has a nice mix of settings.
Hazard is a complete reimagining of World at War map Cliffside. The game has been reworked to include a massive golf course and designed to focus on long-distance engagements.
We also get a look at Shangri-La, the latest zombie mission in the game. The map has new weapons, items and ways to move around. This is meant to be a pretty tight map that pushes through the "levels" of the game.
Still no price, but $15 wouldn't be a surprise. The pack hits Xbox Live on June 28. No further information for PS3 and PC.

  1. Looks a bit better than others, I like the colors.

  2. This is one of the few games where I don't have a single favorite map. Maybe it's because they're all good? Or because they're all mediocre. But I will be buying this day one. I can't believe I'm still playing this game. And I enjoy playing this game.

  3. I must admit. i kinda like the black ops maps that are released their pretty good ideas and places even though i dont own the game or plan on owning it.
The zombie mode. i got bored of. no clue why. oh well but yeah the map packs are pretty good maps for CoD.

  4. Nuketown is possibly the worst map I have ever played in any FPS game. The only reason it's popular is because you just get random frag kills and high kill count really quickly with next to no skill. It's a level whoring map.

  5. I love that green grassy map that looks awesome wow.... im so buying this they should make it tactically and strategically interactive..

  6. Dude I'm buying this...

  7. OMG..... I JIZZED IN MY PANTS..... JOSH OLIN GET ME SUM TISSUES

  8. I HATE THAT GUY WITH A BALD HEAD.... BTW ZOMBIES IS LOOKING GOOD..... THEY SHOULD MAKE UNDERWATER ZOMBIES... AND ZOMBIE ALIENS IN SPACE.... NOT TO MENTION COWBOY ZOMBIES

  9. I dont play call of duty on shabbos

  10. NICE NIXCE NICE

  11. In order to use the warlord perk, you will have to sacrifice the slight of hand perk. The decision is yours, try both and see which suits you best.
