Many people on call of duty dont know how to place a claymore. To be a claymore expert you should know where to place a claymore and what direction to face it. I usually place mine near a car with the beams facing towards where the enemy would most likely be at. The reason I place them near cars is because cars have a bigger blast radius so that the opponent has less chances of surviving the explosions, that also makes the blast omnidirectional, also I place my claymores under stairs if possible. Place them somewhere that your opponents wont even imagine.

Dodging claymores are easy, if you are alert, vigilant and very quick. I tested the claymores in Modern Warfare 2 and they have a bigger blast radius than the ones in Call of Duty 4. So you can run over a claymore in Call of Duty 4 but in Modern Warfare 2 its not that easy to avoid getting your self hurt or killed.
