Black Ops Escalation will be launching on PS3 on June 10 which will also be the first day of a double XP weekend. Please tell us what map you are looking forward to.

A couple of videos have surfaced on GameTrailers that give us a a good look at each of the four new multiplayer maps in the upcoming Black Ops Content Pack, Escalation. Check out Zoo, Convoy, Stockpile and Hotel so if you are still thinking of buying the map pack please do check these videos out and decide.

The Escalation Content Pack will be available first on Xbox Live on May 3, 2011.

On May 3rd, download "Escalation", the second Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack, to play as the zombie-killing dream-team of Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robert Englund, Michael Rooker, and Danny Trejo against a new and unnerving zombie menace. Set in a mysterious, ice-covered, remote Siberian island and inspired by legendary writer and director George A. Romero, a group of four fearless explorers fight for their lives amidst an army of bloodthirsty Soviet zombies.

The Escalation Content Pack will be available first on Xbox Live on May 3, 2011.

Want to see the first ever gameplay footage from the upcoming, second batch of Black Ops DLC, Escalation? You’re in luck because the latest episode (409) of Gametrailers TV has aired and features just that, the first Escalation gameplay footage. Check out the video – which also features GoW 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, RAGE and Uncharted 3 – embedded below (skip to 18:15 for Black Ops).

Escalation map pack drops on the Xbox 360 May 3rd for 1200MSP ($15), other platforms at a later date.

Treyarch have just released a Black Ops Escalation map pack multiplayer preview in which the developers at Treyarch give a behind-the-scenes look at Zoo, Hotel (which features working elevators), Convoy, and Stockpile (which features operational garage doors). There is also a brief look at the new Zombies map, Call of the Dead, at 0:25.

Treyarch announced last night that the Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation downloadable content pack will launch worldwide, first on Xbox Live on May 3, 2011.

• Hotel – set on the roof of a Cuban luxury hotel and casino against the vivid backdrop of old Havana.
• Convoy – delivers intense, close-quarters combat at the scene of an ambushed US military convoy.
• Zoo – takes you on a wild ride in an abandoned Soviet Russian Zoo, with danger at every turn.
• Stockpile – pits players in a remote Russian farm town housing secret WMD facilities.
• Call of the Dead – features a unique Zombies experience with all-new playable characters.

Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia had this to say about Escalation:

“In crafting the Escalation multiplayer maps — Zoo, Convoy, Hotel and Stockpile — the team developed them to be distinct experiences in their own right, giving players the variety they crave in both setting and gameplay. I don’t want to spoil any surprises for Zombies fans, but Call of the Dead takes it to a whole new level.”

Escalation map pack hits Xbox Live as a one-month timed exclusive on May 3rd. Expect a trailer soon.

The first details on Black Ops ‘Escalation’ map pack – the second instalment of Black Ops DLC – has been leaked via GAME Australia (which has since been pulled). As usual there are four multiplayer maps in the $15 DLC, and one zombie map. Zoo, Hotel, Convoy and Stockpile are the names of Escalation’s multiplayer maps, ‘Call of the Dead’ being the title of the new zombie map.

The eagle eyed among you may be able to make out some details from the promotional picture below, but what is for sure is that the Escalation map pack will be launching on the Xbox 360 in just under a month on  May 3rd.

In the coming days or weeks we should expecting the official word from Activision.
