PlayStation 3 owners will get their chance with the new Black Ops First Strike Map pack just over 1-month after it launched on the Xbox, Activision confirmed for the first time today.
The First Strike map pack will be available on the PlayStation 3 on March 3rd. PC owners, however, are still in the dark as to when the map pack will be available on their platform of choice. No confirmation of a release date for the PC version was mentioned.
Activision says the First Strike map pack notched up 1.4 million downloads in the first 24 hours on Xbox 360, a 25% increase over the first map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, titled “Stimulus Package.”
First Strike features four all-new multiplayer maps – Berlin Wall, Stadium, Discovery and Kowloon – as well as a new Zombie map called ‘Ascension’. Hand over $15 and they can all be yours.
